Dr Ashika LathifBDS (Adel), BSciDent (Hons), DClinDent, MRACDS (Paeds)

Specialist Paediatric Dentist

Ashika loves working with children because of their honesty and earnestness. She enjoys all aspects of dentistry, and has a particular interest in surgery, dental trauma and managing widespread decay.

Ashika began her dental journey in Adelaide. After obtaining her undergraduate degree, she worked as a general dentist in a busy practice – where she concurrently completed her honours degree.

Passionate about health outcomes for children, her degree looked at the disparity in oral health between Indigenous Australian children and non-Indigenous Australian children.

In 2020 she began her specialist paediatric training at the University of Sydney, which allowed her to be closer to her hometown of Wagga Wagga.

Ashika says her perception was changed after visiting a paediatric dentist when she was young. The visit helped her see her own role in taking charge of her health. Ashika hopes to bring this same awareness and empowerment to her patients.

Ashika’s top tips for kids: Water is the best drink. And instead of frequent sweet snacks? Aim for a special treat one night a week!

Outside of the clinic Ashika loves to cook – and eat! She also loves to balance all that eating with some energetic exercise, including kickboxing, hiking and tennis.
