Hi, I’m Lia Mendoza. I love my job – it‘s such a joy seeing my patients starting out a bit unsure in the dental chair and developing into confident young people who trust us completely.
One of my focuses at Norwest is helping children learn how to look after their teeth – and supporting parents on this journey towards better oral and general health for their child.
As a busy mum of 3 myself, I understand the challenges many parents face when trying to implement good habits for their child. I focus on providing targeted oral care plans, teaching my patients how to brush and choose healthy foods in small, manageable steps that can be built on over time.
I completed my Bachelor of Oral Health in 2011, and I have been a part of the team at Norwest for 8 years. I have extensive experience from my time both in private orthodontic practice and at the Westmead Centre for Oral Health where I was involved in clinical practice and leading oral health promotion programs.
Outside of work, I enjoy cooking and eating. Both are passions that I have in common with my 3 children.
